I'm just going to keep shooting my junk 272 fps Switchback. Bows prove themselves over years of service, not out of the box hype and velvet camo. IfI don't have 10,000 shots out of mine I don't have one. Junk mathews p.o.s.

I don't know anymore Jeff, someone posted to this thread and said something about calling them and they said they knew they had a batch of bad epoxy.... I don't know what that means really. It's just strange that it's only the General. Oh yeh BTW, someone said that the General was a speed bow?? I don't think it is supposed tobe a speed bow. I may be wrong though!
I just wonder how much is heresay.....conjecture.....or just some "haters" "piling on".

I wish the guys from Bowtech would come in here and say something about it. It's "kinda" warranting a response....if these issues keep coming up (eitehr real or gossip).

I'd just like to hear it either recognized or put to bed.

YEah....the General as a speed bow....lol.
I wondered the same thing but it seems to be isolated to one model of BT and not all their bows. There have been numerous posts and pictures at AT on this alleged issue. We have no way to know what arrow weight was being shot on these, we don't know if they were pressed wrong at a shop, etc. I would have bought a General but it didn't shoot at the speeds I was seeking, it is a great looking/shooting bow from my experience. If BT doesn know there is an issue I hope they address it effectively.

I know better than that, Chris.;) I sold my SB to a pastor....or I'd love to still have it.

I hope nothing becomes of this for BT, too. It may simply be an anomoly (perceived "rash" of occurrences). Mathews limbs have broken, too. I've seen them. Doesn't mean they aren't great bows. I know better on both fronts.

Mathews make a hell of a bow, I almost bought one before I bought the X force, but when I sold the X force and then shot the Ally it was all she wrote. But I will say the DXT is a really nice bow. That's the only one I ever shot. Now, BT is a great manufacturer from what I can tell, no issues with mine and I will keep this one for at 2 or 3 yrs maybe:D....I just feel sorry for the guys that buy the General and then that happens, but you never know what they are doing to them. But with this many rumors/stories circulating, there has to be something going on...

The DXT is a nice, light and fast bow. It made my short list this year and almost came home with me.

3 bows that we know of???? How many sold??? This is ridiculious:eek:. I shoot the General and I am shooting light arrows and shooting 310fps! I have no problems and it shoots great! Sometimes guys just look for something to biatch at! You guys know that you can have problems with anything you buy. We do not know the scenerio's behind these bows breaking but I do know bowtech had this issue before and it was not the bow it was guys using the wrong press. personally I was not gonna respond to this but I just could not resist! My power steering pump is going out in my jeep they better do something about it. Jeep has got a problem, better do a recall, maybe I was driving to fast?[:-]just plain stupid!!!!

There have been a lot more than three posted, some with questionable circumstances and others not so circumstancial. I think we are all trying to say that if there is an issue and BT knows they should recall the affected limbs and replace them.

BTW, what grain arrow are you shooting to hit 310fps out of a General? It sound like you are way light on your setup and could be the next victim;)

No I'm just proof if you do things correct you will not have a problem!;)Im shooting a 300 Gr. arrow go ahead rip me all you want. My bow performs flawlessly and one more thing I can post a picture of a blown up bow and blame it on bad limbs but you still never know the circumstances!
