Default Buck Naked....again

The buck with no tail (I named him Buck Naked) has shown up at my saltlick again. For those of you that didn't see the first post of him, he's a 2-1/2 year old. I got him on video last year as a little 4 point. He's shaped up into a nice little 8 point. We're going to let him go until he's 4-1/2. Hopefully he makes it. The first pic is the one I posted on the first thread of him at the end of June. The second pic is the most recent.

Wonder what happened to him? I shot the tail right of a buck once after my arrow deflect from hitting a branch. We never got to see him again though.

Not sure.I'm pretty sure it was never shot off by anyone.I figured he lost it as a fawn in a fence, by coyote, whoknows. Maybe was born tail-less.

I hope he sticks around your property for the next couple years.

It's cool to have a relationship with one. I wish you luck.

My dad has a doe up at his place that has no tail as well. They call her "bare but" and she's 18+ years old. They feed the deer some corn in the winter and she's been coming in for 18 years. Who knows how old she was before she started coming in.
