RE: how does my form look...
form looks good, but your draw length is the question.... too long maybe?
|
RE: how does my form look...
well they said at the shop my lengthis 29 so i am just going by what he said but after this deer season i am going to pick me up a dxt so then i will get it rechecked and maybe fixed if that is the case

RE: how does my form look...
you can get a ball park if you measure finger tip to finger tip not stretched all the way out, just hold up and then divide by 2.5 Or you can divide your height by 2.5 and get close, it's completely accurate b/c bifferent bows have different DL but it will give you an idea.

RE: how does my form look...
It’s hard to tell from that picture. It looks like your leaning back, might be picture. You need better pictures fron head to toe at different angles.
|
RE: how does my form look...
I would agree that your draw length looks a little long. Your bow arm looks good as far as the bend in it goes. One other thing that i might suggest is your wrist on your release hand looks cocked upwards. I would try to straighten it out so that it is a nice straight line from your elbow to the tip of your arrow. With your elbow pointed up just a bit. Look at this guys form.

Damn!! Arrowmike!! Where the hell have you been?? long time no see!!

RE: how does my form look...
Not bad from this angle. However, I like to have my 'bow arm' straight as a nail. That way I know when I'm at full draw that my arm is always in the same spot. If you allow some bend in the 'bow arm,' I believe that each time you draw your bow, you could potentially be changing your anchor point, affecting the stability, and even reducing the amount of time you could hold at full draw on an animal that needs to take a step or two before you can see vitals.
I think your 'draw arm' looks fine as long as you know where your anchor point is or use a kisser button. Hope this helps! |
RE: how does my form look...
ok tomorrow i wil fix my form and get a few more better pictures for u

RE: how does my form look...

RE: how does my form look...
Yeah I would agree that the draw might be a little long, that might be why you are leaning back.
|
RE: how does my form look...
Draw length is too long. Shorten it up and your wrist will come in line and you'll have your back straighter.
|
RE: how does my form look...
ya look like your leaning back to get on the peep if you have one
|
RE: how does my form look...
everything looks great but you are leaning back a little.
|
RE: how does my form look...
hey guys... at least he's not in a silver spandex shirt!!!! looks like your leaning back a little to me also
|
RE: how does my form look...
Your DL is WAYY too long;)
|
RE: how does my form look...
Really do whatever feels COMFORTABLE. Why you asking anyways? Are you shooting bad? Or do you want to look good for the cameras in the woods.
|
RE: how does my form look...
I wouldn't be so quick to say it's way too long just yet...
We need a way better picture to really help, and from a couple different angles. I'd suggest working on bottoming out your front shoulder, and if you extend your arm more, it may make up for what appears to be an excessive dl initially. Most coaches and top shooters suggest a straighter arm, which is more repeatable without inducing fatigue earlier. Let your arm fall naturally to the side; this will be more of the position of what you're looking for when your raise it. Again, keep your front shoulder from riding up on you, stand up straight and balance your upper torso directly over your hips. THEN it'll be easier to start making some additional corrections. Take a look at the guys at some of the early "advanced" shooters who posted in this thread... http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=2675457 |

RE: how does my form look...
Regardless of what he does with his shoulder, he's still way long on DL. The REASON his shoulder is like that is probably because his DL is long.

RE: how does my form look...
