how big does a doe need to be before you shoot her.
I am still waiting for that first deer but it is hard for me to shoot a small doe. not a fawn but like a 1 year old.
how big must she be for you to shoot

To much is put on weather or not it is a "mature" deer. I live by the saying "If it's brown it's down" and I will even take it a step farther than that because I don't care if it has spots. Some think this is wrong but it is some of the best eating you will ever have! To each his own!!!! If you don't feel comfortable about shooting 1 year old or younger deer then don't do it and don't let me or anyone else to you should or shouldn't. It's your tag use it how you want!!!

As long as she doesn't have spots and I have a bow in my hand
.
Ok MAYBE not THAT small. As long as shes atleast a 1yr old.
Last year, I made a hasty decision and shot a fawn out of spots. I guess it's still called a fawn then? I know it's not a yearling. Anyway, I'm going to try NOT to do that again this year.
