tree stand sinking in the groud
ok last year after a week long rain i got in my 2 man ladder stand
and it sunk alitte and even bent the first ladder set alittle not much this year i figure i would buy a 20 dollar set of ladder feet or what ever you call them. Do they work someone told me not to that the ladder is made to sink alittle but when i am in the tree and it sinks i do not want to break the ladder or god forbid make a superman fall to the ground |
RE: tree stand sinking in the grout
Lay off the donuts if you are sinking into the ground :D. seriously the feet should help

i made my own, but they should work.

RE: tree stand sinking in the groud
They do eliminate some of the sinking, depending on the amount of rain. I don't think they would help much in some areas in the Mid-West this year though[:@]

They do help, and a few years ago a friend of mine had the same problem..... one day his ladder sank a little more and then broke and collapsed.... Injured his back....... better safe than sorry.....some problems could be catastrophic....

Get you a couple of 8 inch pavers and put them under the legs.

RE: tree stand sinking in the groud
My ladder stand has a bar that is not the first step but is meant for the sinking issue, i just put a 2X4 perpendicular to that brace

RE: tree stand sinking in the groud
i thought the bar was for scrapping mud from your boots heck that bent when the stand sunk although i think it stopped the sinking
