That first bar 2 to 3 inches up is made to sit on top of the ground. So thefirst few inches of leg underneath it are made to be put into the ground.

It is a mud rail, so it dont sink in mud, but youve said in other post that you were a big guy so its not as effective.

ohh ok they did not want to say hey this is so when it sinks on you. so they called it a mud rail.
Well mud rail could mean it stops the stand from sinking in the mud
