We're running in the 80's now...My trail cam was reading 104 but thats normal depending on the area.....

I was thinking the same thing rob...on the internal injurycar hit.......I did see a growth under his eye but it looked common to me and I didn't react to it much...

Interesting series of events to be sure. Odd comment by the DNR... I would think that is exactly what they do... I called our DNR a couple of years ago about a sickly looking deer, and the game warden came out that very day....

I took all of this feedback from a older retired women in her 70's....I think she was being honest....I think it all depends on where and what your local DNR is doing....We have 2 in my county.....and its a huge county....

You almost have to wonder if the buck wasn't puking something up and didn't even realize she was there lol. He doesn't appear to be sick that I can see but hey, I wasn't there and what's done is done.

WHY IN THE WORLD DID THEY NOT COME GET THE DEER FOR TESTING????!!!!! am I the only one baffled?! I would be flipping ape sh*t if they didnt come test the deer. If I was you I would be making some select phone calls. Thats your deer heard, and if one is sick I would be very very concerned. Might be settling to know what is actually wrong with him.

However, I have gotten that close to buck with both of my big dogs in the summer time and they almost ignore you. But for the cop to come back and shoot him close up, there had to be something majorly wrong. As WisBow said take him for testing for sure.
