How long have you been doing this??

Moved out of the inner city in 1959, and shortly after, 1960 I think, acousin of mine gave me one of his old bows and some arrows which got me started (age 5). Got my first Bear Laminated Recurve for my birthday in 1963 (age 8).
In 1967 I got a new 50#Bear Kodiak, my first hunting license, and killed my first whitetail buck (age 12).
So I have had a passion for the bow and arrow for about 48 years now and this will be my 41st season as a licensed bowhunter, minus a few years for overseas duty for Uncle Sam.

I'll never forget the day that I came home from school, and as I was walking from the bus stop to the house,my dad walked out of the house with a brand new 'black' bow that he had gotten for me. I'm not positive, but I think it was a Fred Bear bow, black in color. This was probably 1982 or so, when I was about 12-13. Just turned 38 yesterday, so I've been bowhunting for about 26 years or so!! Some of the best memories of my life have happened as a result of him getting me my first bow, and my subsequent addiction to whitetail hunting.

In 1979, I fired an arrow from inside the womb (Rage broadhead) giving my mother a caesarian-section wound in her lower abdominal area. I crawled out through the 2" slice, took possession of the leftteat, and have been a living legend ever since.

I had a green fiberglass longbow when I was like 10-11. Shot that till the string broke. Went to a recurve around 13-14. Compound @ 16. At 33 I went back to a longbow(still shooting compound too). And here I am at 34, with an arsenal of bows I can take afield with me.
