My prayers to your friend and his family. Unfortunately I just received a similar call on the night of July 3rd. My brother-in-law and his GF, were riding to get some dinner and a 61 year old guy with no drivers license turned left in front of them. No helmets but somehow made it out alive.

He has 3 bones broken in his right leg, bottom 2 were compound, a broken right hand, broken ribs and some bad cuts. 11 hours of surgery later and he was on the road to recovery. He's home now and in a wheel char but his recovery is on it's way.

I always wanted a motorcycle until I walked in the room and saw him laid out, with a ventilator in not moving and thought, I never want my kids or wife to have to see me like this.

Praying for a full recovery.

Update a week later. He's still in the hospital, in and out of sleep but registering people gradually. It's all about healing now.
