I do both. I just depends on where the deer comes from and what the angle is etc. etc. but if a deer comes in on my left side, I will shoot setting down. The biggest buck I ever killed, I killed while setting down. It was only a 17 yard shot but I heart shot him and he didn't make it 15 yards.

If I'm sitting when the shot presents itself, thats how I shoot. Otherwise i shoot standing. Majority of my deer have been shot sitting though.

I shoot sitting down all the time. Why waist a single motion and get busted if you can help it. I'll stand up and shoot if only absolutely neccessary. I practice shooting in every inconcievable position for ground hunting also, you just never know what shot you will be presented with. .... Good hunting

Yes. But I do both....... shoot seated and standing. Just practice both b4 the season starts and make sure things are OK.

Honestly I cannot think of one instance when I've ever shot while sitting down in a treestand. A blind yes, treestand no. I always stand immediately upon seeing the deer if I'm not standing already.
