How many of you always use rangefinders? Do most of them compensate for the angle/degrees..and give the true distance now?

Anybody use Bushnell Scout or Bushnell Trophy? COmments? Suggestions?

I use my range finder all the time. I feel naked without it.

I started using a RF two years ago. I have a Leupold and its real nice and easy to use. Most of the time I use it to mark trees,rocks,stumps ect for the yardage from my treestand. Not a bad tool to have with you in the deer woods.

I have the Nikon 800 range finder.

Biggest thing is use mine for is setting up targets for shooting/sighting in and I will take it with me the first time in a new stand to mark distances to objects so I know what the distance will be without having to use it when I see the deer.

I use a Nikkon 440 . works well i sight trees and other objects so i know ahead of time the distance when the deer come in . I willsight the trees at level not down at an angle and that way i know the true distance with out calculating

I've never used one because I didn't want to spend the money for one. But, a terrific deal just popped up on a Leupold RX-II, so I bought it. It has TBR (True Ballistic Range) technology, w/ preprogrammed ballistics on board. I've only been messing w/ it a couple days, and I can tell that I will use this thing a TON this fall.

i use bushnell yardage pro.
i climb up on the ladder stand a few rungs as our laural is real high.
then i sight for only 30 yards,then i go out and put a red strip of tape on tree.
i do this in circle about 3 times only and mark.

do this a week before you hunt so you dont stink up the woods.

anything inside the orange i can figure out by sight if it is 20 yds or 25 .

never shoot over 30 yards with arrow and only broadside shot.

I use Nikon RF's and love them...with practice you can manage them along with everything else during the heat of the moment....My range finder does not compensate for angle...and I've never had a problem...MY Opinion though....in 2005 I shot a buck at 43 yards through open hard woods ...only because I had the range finder....
