With all this new land he acquired I wouldn't put my odds against him. I think he's gonna kill an even bigger N. MO Buck.

Don, any word on how much longer before you get your buck back?

Man, you guys are the best. And I mean that.

AF, the truck is fixed, lookin good, runnin good. I did learn though, that if I would have had a 4x4, I could have gotten a bigger one... One of the guys I work with said, "hey, how much super glue did it take to keep those antlers on that does head?" Thought that was funny.

And yes, I got him back from the taxi last night. I'm pretty disappointed, to be honest. His eyes look like CRAP! And crap ain't the word I wanted to use there. The guys that tanned the hide did great, it looks fantastic. The pose is good, but absolutely no detail at all. His eyes look like they're buggin out of his head, NO airbrushing was done. There's a big spot of putty in the corner of each eye.I wanted his ears pinned back, they're sticking straight out. Which doesn't look bad, just not what I wanted. I'm gonna have to take him to somebody else for some touch up work. I'm not happy at all, my first buck, and a good one at that, and he looks like........CRAP. But, I have him back, and it's good to have him home. I haven't seen him since the day I shot him.

Damn mobow that sucks!! There isn't a worse feeling when you get your animals back from the taxi and your disappointed!! That really sucks, hope you can get someone to fix it up right for ya. More money to spend, shouldn't have to be that way!

Man I'm sorry to hear about your taxi work. I got lucky when I killed mine in Texas. It turned out great...even after being shipped half way across the country. Just remember, he's a great buck!! I know you'll make him look great!

I'd have to tell the taxidermist to make it right or he should be prepared to make the payment for another taxidermist to make it right. I'd try to be tactful about it (but would probably fail at that) and get it done to my liking.

This is kind of a delicate situation right here. First of all, he's a friend of mine (which actually ticks me off even more. Wouldn't you WANT your buddies deer to turn out nice????) and he's a shooter for our shop. Which is why I used him in the first place.....I'm not really sure how to handle this exactly. But I know he will NOT get next year's deer, that's for damn sure.
