Default Equalizer Treestand Question

I am thinking about picking up an Equalizer climber for the leveling feature, but I see that it can only be used on a 19" tree. Does that mean it will only level once the tree is 19"? What I mean is can I put it on a tree that has a 24" base and then tapers out to 19"? I realize the stand would have to be tilted upwards at the start of climbing. Anyone else try this?

I never did measure the tress I used it with , but I know you can use it on tress large enough to cover your body. For me thats a good size tree to hide my fat A$$. Its the best climber I ever had, its a all day sit stand, easy to set up and is rock solid. The crank system is awsome. You will not be disapointed if you buy one!

Thanks for the responses. I am close to ordering one, but I am still a little hesitant due to the 19" max tree diameter. I am afraid of limiting my choices of trees it can be used on.
