Germ how did you come up at 27% FOC? I just ran those numbers on the Goldtip FOC calculater and was only getting about a 14-15% FOC

I have no idea, LOL

I ask earlier in a thread, but I thought Imultiplied my 200 instead of 100 because I have 200 grains at the end:D

=SUM(17-(26/2))*200/26

this is what I used

I think you may be off buddy. I tried to do a setup with the FMJs for myself but the best I could get was like 19-20% FOC and that was with 320 grains up front. 220grn Muzzy Phantom and 100grn bass insert

Germ - OnTarget Software has you at 15.4% FOC.

I thought I was off too, LOL Why I ask in a thread[8D]

At first I came up with what you did, but than my brain got in my way and I thought you put in 200 instead of 100.

RE: Extreme FOC arrows

I spent all day building arrows in my home shop... after completing one dozen that I was intending to use for my whitetail setup this year, I started contemplating what I was going to do with the next dozen I'm taking to Colorado with me on my elk trip.

I decided to call up Muzzy and get a few dozen 50-grain brass inserts coming my way... and then thought, heck -- if they'll work so great for elk, I think I'll use 'em on my whitetail arrows as well. I ended up yanking all the inserts out before the epoxy could harden and cleaned the shafts real good with acetone and now they too are waiting on the same brass inserts.

They'll be tipped with a 100-grain MX-3, 50-grain Muzzy brass insert with a sweet custom-made-for-me wrap and three 4" MeanV barred feathers. Should hit like a Mack truck. :)
