Rain Gear? Affordable??

As simple as that? What have you guys found that works well, but is also affordable?

I dont really need anything fancy as I dont hunt in the rain often, just something I can throw in my bag with me. I am also looking for something lightweight as it would be mainly used for early season!!

~~ Ohhh and I know you get what you pay for but come on 100$ for rain gear???????

The stuff I use the Gander Mountain Tech20 rainwear, and I love it. It is lightweight, quiet as fleece, and very comfortable. Definitely worth a look if you are looking for something more affordable.

I got some redhead stuff from bass pro that was on sale, if i remember correctly i got the whole suit for around 150...its nice and quiet and gets the job done. We usually use tree umbrellas anyway to protect the camera so rain gear isnt so necessary for me, but its still nice to stay dry walking to/from the stand

Mike~ I was actually just talking to my brother about raingear and he told me I should just go the umbrella route, as that is when I would be worried about getting wet!
I have always just kinda worried that those things would stick out like sore thumbs?!? I guess im just thinking too much!!!!!!!

Honestly....those umbrellas are the bomb.;)

But if I wanted a low cost rain suit.....I'd look into Frog Togs.

Any camo that I wear is water "proof" to begin with.I don't even think about rain gear. It's just something elseyou have to carry anyway.

I never leave home without my tree umbrella. I dont think they stick out any worse than a treestand.

I'm with early in, anything that I wear is waterproof. Keep it simple, keep it lightweight.
