Here is a better angle to show his goofy ears.

Froze his ear tips off? Wow, that is crazy. Cool pic.

That is one big bad ass tough buck. He would make a crazy mount with those ears.

This guy sure was afraid of the daylight. I saw him in my subdivision 4 different times over 2 years, always after dark crossing the road or in my yard. I got this pic at 4 something in the morning behind my house.

I haven't seen him for 3 years now, don't know what happened to him.

I have seen you post this before, but dang that is a STUD!!!

Did you ever look for his sheds or anything? I can't belive he was just cruizing around your neighborhood! Do you live next to some farm land or was he just hanging out in a little chunk of timber?
I live about a mile from the Missouri River so some of them come from there. But the real attraction used to be an apple orchard 1/2 mile to my West. There is a 400 acre county park to my East. And the deer would follow the creek bottom past my house to the apple orchard.

Now the orchard only grow houses.[:@]They bulldozed the apple trees out and it is a subdivision.

No real ag crops close to me at all.

This is one of the oldest bucks I have ever gotten pictures of. I never did get to see him in the daylight. I truely believe there are only a few days a year during the rut that you will catch that age class of deer on their feetduring daylight. MOST of them will be very nocturnal, pressured or not. I did however get pictures of him over and over in the very same spots and often he was looking at the camera. That particular mature deer did not seem to be camer shy in the least. As I have mentioned in the past, this deer was found by a friend early in the spring hooked up with another nice deer. Both were 150's class bucks. I had muchhigher scoringdeer to hunt but would have gladly put a tag on this old warrior, even if it was my only tag.

That's got to be one of the most muscular, thickest bucks I've ever seen! Wow!!

This is the only mature buck that I have gotten on Camera. He was 4.5 in the picture. I have no idea if he is still around or not. I did not see him at all last year, but I saw him twice the year before. He is on his way down this year if so. BTW notice where he is looking ;)
