Don't worry, most on here giving advise haven't shot them all either.:D
Once I shot the Commander, wasn't much point in shooting anything else. Love at first draw. :D I didn't buy one for myself was because I knew the pain that shooting a bow caused me would soon override my desire, the point I reached just a few months after I'd shot the bow. If I'd thought I had another 5 years to go, I'd be shooting a Commander - with an extra long string loop;) - right now.
Well, thats because your knuckles drag the ground my man.

You're just jealous that you don't have an 82" wingspan. ;)

I'm not a speed freak. I'm more interested in a smooth draw, very low hand shock, and quiet. I'm not going to be taking shots at deer at 45-50 yards. A smooth draw is very important. I really don't like bows with a hard "wall" at the end of their draw cycle.
Well.... What you are describing is the Mathews Switchback LD. I have one and it's all that you describe and then some! While it's not as fast as the Switchback XT from an IBO perspective (350gr 70lb 30in)you will gain speed with the longer draw. Mine is set at 32in and I'm getting 275+/- fps with a 477gr arrow.....With an 8in brace height no less!;)Not a burner by any means but perfect (IMHO) for a hunting setup.

Very accurate and stable hunting platform.

I just re-read your other post (quiver thread).....seems like you're set on the Dren LD. Well if it shoots ANYTHING like my Switchback LD then you've got yourself a winner! Hey it can't be bad....afterall this is Mathews we're talking about, they don't make a bad bow.

I'm not necessarily set on the Dren. I've got a regular Switchback right now and if theLDshoots anything like it, I'm sure I'd be very happy! I'm checking to see right now if my shop hasboth in stock for me to shoot!

Great idea NC, go out and shoot them all if you can. Shoot the Bowtechs too and decide what you like the best. personally I liked the Mathews. It was actually my second choice but after I shot it more than a few dozen times I really started to get the "feel" for this bow. It seemed the more I shot it the more I liked it and that hasn't changed! Please do yourself a favor and shoot as many shots through each bow as time will allow. You will get a much better feel for the bow that works best for your shooting style.

Good luck and from my experience, you won't be sorry you took the time. If I didn't give the Switchback another shot (pun intended) I probably would have missed out on what is quickly becoming my favorite bow of all time.

Elite GT500

Better Limbs - Barnsdale
New Cam system for Binary system Zero Cam lean or limb twist
For a speed bow GT500 has a great ATA 35 7/8ths and BH 7.25
Pull is smoothest on a speed bow I have ever drawn.
If you like hard walls, this bow has one[&:]

Hows things going Dave? Well when I went on the new bow hunt I tried a ton of them. After it was all said and done the PSE X-Force won hands down.If you have never tried one you got to give it a go!!!! I didnt find any shooting differance between the Dream Season and the X-6 so I went for the extra speed and got the X-6. Send a note when you get time and let me know how things are going.GOOD LUCK WITH THE BOW SHOPPING!!
Oh yea give the Elite GT500 a try as well.I got one on the way. This is also one heck of a bow!!!!!

I just got quoted $720 for a Dren LD and I'm waiting on a call back on the Switchback LD price...should be less I would think.
