RE: not the biggest one but
Hes a nice young buck...good looking frame. He might suprise you and be a little bigger than you think. He could grow into a giant in a year or two if hes smart enough to survive the rifle season!

RE: not the biggest one but
ORIGINAL: oakcreek ORIGINAL: AF Hunter A nine pointer with a rack wider than his ears would get my attention at least. Compared to the buck next to him, he has quite a bit more mass too. |
RE: not the biggest one but
Nice looking buck. Would love to see that Missouri buck in 2 years. or even one more.

RE: not the biggest one but
I know i only have 23 acres but i manage this land as strictly as possible. so strict i still hav not taken a buck with my bow. i passed on 6 bucks last year. one of them only cause it was a bad percentage shot on a 140". and before you ask no he didn't make it through rifle season last year. i consider myself to have a high level of self control but this will be my 4th year and i'm not for sure how much longer i can hold out.

Do what you have to do. Obviously other people should not tell you what deer you should shoot.

RE: not the biggest one but
Nice, ever think of taking a juvenile into the woods. This would definitely put a smile on most faces here. Extend this one out to an unfortunate juvenile. I think the smile on a kids face would make this worth your while tenfold. Not to metion another hunter hooked for life. Just a thought.
