Are there any of you that are making big changes to what you will or will not do this year.
My personal change is to give up some of my distracting hobbies and just get out hunting more in general. I will also be hanging up the rifle a lot more to grab the bow instead. My recent passion has been the hog hunting but I would like to change focus to whitetail in the upcoming seasons.

Without taking the fun out of hunting, I will try to plan out the majoity of my hunting during the most productive times of the year. Late October til Mid-November I will bounce around to spots I have found to be hot over the years, and I will sit with patience to get around the bucks I know are there from time to time. I am going to focus on places that I have seen big bucks and big buck sign, and not waste my time on places that "look good". I want to be more efficient.
I am also going to try and branch out and hunt in places other than my current spot. I am going to actually ask people I know if I can hunt on their farms and land. That is something I have a real hard time doing.
I am also going to be more mobile this year as I plan on using my canoe and tree saddle to hit spots around lakes.

Virginia Shadow- I know what you mean about asking others, but I will have to say that for the most part many I talk to are suprised at how many say yes when they expect to hear NO, especially being a bow hunter.

I would love to be closer to whereI hunt.
I will continue to refine some tactics that I have tried in the past. I will be doing more scouting with a better understanding of what i'm seeing.
