Wraps vs capping for vane repair?
#11
Use feathers and then you can use fletch tape. I can clean off the remnants of tape, after removing the feather, with my thumb by rubbing. The feathers adhere to the shaft as good as any vane with glue too. Then you won't have to worry about your wrap or your paint job.

Wraps are quick, easy, cheap, and they look good. If you need to replace the fletching they just peel off. I'd behesitant about stripping paint from a carbon arrow, I'd be afraid of the paint stripper delaminating or weakening the carbon.
