Trips planned?

Let’s get an upbeat post going, because I know anyone who does have a trip planned is probably more than excited, even with summer half way to go.

For me it’s 80 days until I step on a plane for my 8 day Idaho elk hunt.
I don’t know if my “trips” to Ohio count. I’ll be running back and forth most every weekend during the season.

So let’s here the where, for what and for how long?

Just my camp in PA and Dan's place here in NY this year. As of September though, I have a free roundtrip flight from my work travel through Southwest. I'm not sure what I'll use it for, but hopefully a cool hunt somewhere in 2009.

Lisa and I are headed to Mexico, again, in October.
Lake Norman, this weekend.
We're going to Charleston in August.
Canada in the fall (sometime).

You mean hunting? Nothing. Maybe PA around Halloweeen. I have too many people coming here to hunt this fall to worry about going somewhere else.

Well, this is a special year for me because I get to go on 2 elk/mule deerhunts with my father. The first is to CO where we have always hunted. The 2nd is to Montana. I am looking forward to both equally as much. I truly just hope that my dad is able to take a nice bull or two. I don't care if I get nothing.

I'll be hunting here around camp in Ontario a bunch this fall. I'll also be heading to Illinois for 10-14 days the end of October until around November 8th. Then its back to Ontario for a week. Then off to Alberta for the week of November 17-22, andmaybe longer. Then its back home to WI to hunt the late season on the family's 460 acres. I'm also thinking about a late season hunt in ND. If anything else comes up and I can squeeze it in, time wise, I'll go.

Forgot to add that I'll be heading from WI to Ontario in February or March to do a wolf hunt.

Wyoming bison, centerfire rifle is only legal weapon, bow would have been fun, but oh well still will be fun.

Pops got lucky with a once in a lifetime tag his 1st year applying, had he not, we'd only be hunting local this year.

I'll just be tagging along, but still will be like me hunting them, I guess I get to play guide....

I'm pumped though, hadn't really planned to be bison hunting anytime soon.
