Default Cocking string to cable (fall away)

I just upgraded from a TM type rest to an Ultra (fall away) rest. While attaching the cocking string to the cable using the small plastic piece. I over tightened it and it cracked. It was kinda chessy anyway. I would like to find out how you guys attach your cocking string to your cable.I am looking for something that is SOLID, not going to slip or break while in the field. Thanks.

On my drop away the string is through the cable string at the base of the serving. then it is melted to a ball or you could tie a knot. Been working fine for a long while

I see where a lot of folks split the down cable and put the arrow rest string through ot and then serve it or do the knot thing mentioned above. I use a tiny plastic clamp to hold the string to the down cable , Works for me !
