Tell me more about this sight. I have never seen such a monster ...ever. How do you mount it and how does it work. I am very interested so let me know.

I was first introduced to the AimPoint sights while in the Navy. I hadan MPS3mounted on my Barret M82A1 .50 CAL. This AimPoint model was obviously for military application, very expensive & cost me nothing! I humped this sight through the gnarliest bush, exposed it to salt water, heat, humidity & it performed like a champ.
The CompC3 AimPoint model is for civilian application and relatively cheaper than it's military counterpart. But the ruggedness, durability & drop dead target acquisition capabilities are basically identical. The standard mount is a weaver base. The 30mm ring wraps the circumference of the sight & then mounts to the weaver base- which in turn mounts to the bow. You can also opt for the picatinny mount as opposed to the weaver.
The "parallex free" feature basically means that once you're sighted in correctly at a particular distance (say, 25 yards), and you have a target come into range at that distance- as soon as you begin to bring your bow up and draw, but BEFORE you reach your anchor point- you will see the red-dot. Wherever that red-dot is when you see it, is where your arrow will go (so long as your target is at the pre-determined sighted in distance). So in the situation where you have just drawn your bow and are re-acquiring your anchor point, as you re-acquire your anchor you will actually see the red-dot before you anchor. This allows you to put the dot on your target as you acquire your anchor, not AFTER.
As for durability, the AimPoint brand sets the bar for sights in the military arena. I expect to spend about 2 hours getting this sight set up for dead nuts at 25 yards. Once it's set up, it'll take a beating before it even thinks about getting thrown off.
I'm jacked.............can you tell?

CONGRATS on the new rig! I just picked up a new rig myself, I opted for the DXT. Some truly exciting bows in the Mathews line-up this season, that's for sure. Good luck and good shootin'

I just returned from vacation yesterday & my bowsmith left a message for me that my new Switchback XT has arrived at his shop & he has begun setting it up!
The AipPoint CompC3 Red-Dot sight is absolutely the BALLS!!
I'm going to sneak up to his shop at lunch on Wednesday for my initial "fit".
From there,he'llmake some slight tweaks & I can go up next Saturday to pick it up. I've never experienced Christmas in the middle of the summer before, but I think I'm liking it.............
Pictures to follow.
