How to fix it??

I shot for about 20 min just a while ago before I leave to go to dinner and I was terrible. All over the target sometimes and then darn close to where I wanted a few times and maybe once or twice where I actually wanted it. What I saw mostly was my arrows going left. Is this torque? I shot Sunday and hit bulls eye first 3 shots and put it away. Have not shot until today. If it is torque, how do I stop it?? How can I tell if it is torque??

Pretty Good advice actually!!

It is more than likely some torque you are imparting on the grip. It's frustrating for me to know someone has a problem and be too far away to work on it in person. I think Swamp is pretty close isn't he? Have him watch you shoot and give you his 2 cents worth.

You really should just let the bow set in your hand don't grip it! Also concentrate on Aiming and let the shot just happen.

If you are punching that trigger you can get lefts and rights from slight flinches in anticipating the shot;)

Hard to say without watching you.

Excellent advice! When I know my setup is right and all of a sudden my arrows start "flying" it is usually because I am trying to hard. I want every arrow to robin hood the last arrow. Some immediate remedies that have worked are:

Make sure I am loose and not squeezing anything.

Just shooting the arrow as soon as the pin is "close". Basically you stop trying to be so precise with your aim and just relax and let arrows fly. Sometimes it is amazing how the groups tighten up when I am not even "trying".

Pick a bigger target. Instead of the x I will just worry about getting it in the "pie plate". This also keeps me from "trying to hard" and makes me relax.

But when those remedies do not work:

A non-immediate remedy that always works is taking some days off shooting and spending that shooting time with my wife and/or daughter. It gets my mind off of shooting and the next time I shoot I am much more relaxed and loose.
