Almost got one!!
Ok this morning I was riding my bike to work and while I was about to exit the provincial park I cross through i almost ran over a turkey!!!! It was about 1 yard away when I passed it! it was pretty cool.

Im assuming it was a pedal bike and not a motorcycle.
I too almost ran over a turkey, but it was with my suv while on the farm. Those things can run FAST !!!
