Too late already at the ups store, or it might already be on its way back to PA. and no its not the noodle, arm but i dont want to be the teeth to death and slide out of my tree;)

What do you mean by minor repairs, like repainting the part that is chipped or something?

Good Lord, you should have man handled it! I have a classic summit and it sticks together every now and them. I force it apart. The thing can hold a 300 lb human in the air, it can certain take a wrap against a tree!

Summits are the most comfortable stand on the market. I would never own another stand.

i dont want to argue about my "noodle" arm but when i beat the tree stand with a hammer, and it didnt come loose when my and my dad tried prying it apart and it wont then there is something wrong, and my dad dosnt havea noodle arm either.Besides i shouldnt have to with a brand new piece of equipment.

You are 100% correct, you shouldn't have to deal with something like that on a brand new stand. You have plenty of time to send it back and get a new one. I don't have time nor patience to mess with doing that, I would have found a way to fix it but I think you are absolutely doing the right thing.

As far as minor repairs, I meant maybe touch-up paint, re-sharpening the teeth, etc...

Unfortunately, the design of Summits cause this every so often... when I first got my Cobra XLS, I had to have a friend talk me off a ledge trying to get it apart. :)

I agree with everything Mr4pt said above; your next one probably won't be as bad.
