I'm just joking with you. That stand is fine. It's just a shame you have to go through all the hassle of returning it. Oh well, you have to do what you have to do.;)

^ Yep i know it is a hassle, but it is worth is since my tree stand i have now is rusty and uncomfortable, not safe, and heavy, (my friend gave it to me for free) so i said sure. but yes it is worth the 2-3 weeks.

Try pinning down the platform with your feetand wiggling the seat portion. I have a summit Viper and it camestuck together pretty good as well. I'd imagine that it came packed in the same configuration that you'll use to transport it, so you might wanna get used to it. Good Luck.

^ well really they arent supposed to be locked together like that even in transport, because i saw a picture of collapsing it, and the platforms were close togethere but not locked together.
P.S and me and my dad tried doing what you did and it still didnt come apart.

i have that exact same stand and it was pinched pretty tight together when i got it out of the box, but it wasn't hung up like that. i got mine out of the store though, it wasn't shipped. hope you can get it appart or exchanged, they are a really nice stand for the money.

I second that getting a lone wolf was one of the best choices I ever made. Such a well designed stand.

My wife's viper was stuck in the same way, we just beat it apart. Took a hammer to do it, but it came apart eventually. Definitely a pain in the ass, but beats sending it back IMO.
