Wounded deer always go to water. NOT!!!

Mortally wounded deer will not travel uphill. WRONG!!!

Don't stare at a deer or make eye contact. Old Wife's tale!!! I burn a hole in every deer I intend to shoot.

Wounded deer, not always, butquite often will go to water if it's nearby!;)

Wounded deer, mortally or otherwise, will generally take the path ofleast
resistance.;)

The last one isn't worth discussing.:D:D

I'll start 1) Hunt Big Bucks in the places that are so obvious that every one over looks them.First of all I have never been able to get myself to completely buy in to this belief so I don't know that I have tried to do that.To me it feels foolish.Yeah I will be within sight of the barn in this little quarter acre thicket,I just can't get myself to do it.
Every time I read an article on this topic I immediately dismiss the writer as a BS artist.Unless a big buck can tunnel like a gopher I just don't see it happenning.
You better believe there is a good bit of truth in that one. How many deer do you see standing on the side of the road and near houses. All the time. Because no one hunts there. They walk right past those areas and hunt way in the woods. I have been walking back to my truck several times and had deer cross the dirt road 5 yards in front ofmy truck. Bucks and does on public land.

But how do you effectively hunt these area's with any degree of confidence, and with any reasonable liklihhood of opportunity.I don't doubt that it happens,I just don't know that it would with any degree of consistency that would justify my doing it.Especially so bowhunting out of a tree stand.
