Dan I have the 3' fiber which works well in dim light, but cast somewhat of a halo in the bright sun. What does your do in the sun?

Funny thing I was shooting my wives bow last weekend and the peep cast a florescent pink circle around the peep which was great for visibility. However I could not figure out where the "Glow" was coming from. I keep checking the peep to see if something was embedded in the peep. However, when I shot in the shade there was no glow?? I finally figured the bright sunlight was reflecting off the pink florescent vanes onto the peep.....pretty neat.
Mine has the Rheostat pin guard. It allows me to cover up or expose as much or as little as I need. If there is a better system I have yet to use it.

If you want only one pin (and would consider a mover sight), then I would suggest an HHA. Or a True-Glow Range Rover with the optional LED Light (which really makes it easy to see).

For pin size, I prefer .019 pins. I use a multiple pin sight myself.

If you are considering, perhaps, a multi-pin.... then I think the Vital Bow Gear Triangle is the brightest without the use/aid of any LED lights (if you are into the whole P&Y thing). Just as bright, or nearly so is any of the Spott-Hoggs with wraps... and again, you may use a light if you so choose.

I have the XL5519 that has 10' of fiber and the rheostat. I'm amazed at how bright it is. If you have thought about a 1 pin slider, that's where my recomendation would be. I'm very happy with mine.

I have a Tru Glo witht he trinium pin, it can be pitch black out and you can still see your pin, it is a fiber optic pin that glows.... Also it is a single pin adjustable sight. So if you only shoot to 20 yards you can set and forget it..

wrapped fiberoptic pins are the only way to go, I have a cobra.....and if you can't see those pins, that's because its pitch black outside!

I think each pin has 3 feet of fiberoptic wrapping!

I have .029" pins, I would never go smaller than .019" either way very nice.

I ordered a Sword Twilight Hunter Micro with .010 pins about a week ago. I'll let you know how bright it is once I get it. ;)
