Not used to seeing wet Groundhogs! Never shot a Groundhog under a dock, butI didshot one out of a tree once.

What the heck was a Groundhog doing in a tree?

Ground hog climb tree and fence post. I have also seen them in the water. The animal in the photo is a ground hog...look at the furn on the tail, the ears, nose and head shape.....

I think it might be a ground hog...or muskrat...or a ground rat.....or musk hog...or ......Nope I got! Its Rossy Odonalds off spring....Nice kill!!!

At the time that's what I thought! I have only seen that a few times in many years in the woods. Groundhogs were all but eradicated around here for several years, but in the last few they have made quite a comeback. Enough so that I've considered chasing them with the Bow again!!

Now if I can just find the time

ive seen quite a few in trees also always trees that are real green and always munchin on leaves so i have to agree with here its for the leaves. its usually after the corns cut that ive seen them in trees. i guess cause they dont have any corn to eat anymore.....varmints anyhows.[:@]
