My best bowkill to date.He was taken in 02 with a old Herter's recurve.I watched him breed a doe before they came in.He walked through my shooting lane at 18 yds and when I released the arrow he stopped. My firstarrow just missed his chest by a 1/4" causing a instant sick feeling[:'(].He merely flinched at the shot. After he closed in on the doe againI picked a 2'x2' hole in the cover. He stopped just in the hole and the second muzzy tipped XX75 hit perfect. The taxi couldn't hide the entrace hole completely so if you look you can see it in the pic.My friends and family still rib me about the first shot, but he is on the wall.:DThank god for the "RUT"

Well, it all started at the NC mini GTG. where i defeated Rob/PaBowyer not once but TWICE in a game called B.U.C.K.

the game Is played much like you would play Horse in basketball, only your calling shots and using archery gear. And i took Rob to school.

Nuff Said:D

Just a golden on the back of a DU t-shirt I found online somewhere. Haven't bothered to find anything better.... most of my pictures of Dutch are of him holding birds, but a bit far off... need to find something better I guess.

When I was in Australia, I joined a little archery club...it was mostly fooling around with recurves, but one of the highlights was the "Easter Bunny Archery Shoot":D I thought I did pretty well for being very inexperianced with a recurve at 15 meters.

It's a buck I shot in "06". I believe he is a buck I passed at 3 1/2. never saw him when he was 4 1/2. I only saw him once at5 1/2:D

The story took a weird turn. I shot him and watched him run thru some pines and disappear. I let him go overnight. The next day I searched for him until noon without finding a single drop of blood. I was sure the shot was good. On the way back I decided to shed some clothes and grab a bite to eat. I circled a little further south and headed back toward the stand. about 50 yds from the stand I almost tripped over him. He died on the run and dropped into a deep depression in a bunch of tall grass. I walked within 10 yards of him several times that morning and never saw him. My buddy stopped over to take some pics and I didn't have time to shave:D

Out hunting one day and run across a herd of elk and right befor I shot this monster he scratched his gonads with his antlers. That would have been cool but I got it in an email from my brother that said "Oh! that's what those antlers are for."

Mine was 2006 buck taken on Oct. 26th. I was watchingtwo 2 1/2 year olds 8 points chasing around 1 doe about 35 yards from mewhen he came out of a grown up thicket. He ran right down where they were at an they all split up. He came up the hill to me like he was on a string. The shot was broadside at 20 yards. He left in a hurry an stopped after running about 30 yards. He stood for a few seconds an fell over.

Mine is my black bear (Chocolate colored) I shot in 2000 with my recurve. He's by far my biggest bear scoring 20 5/16 P&Y and dressing out at 325lbs. After I shot him he ran about 20 yards and I didn't hear him anymore. I didn't know what to think. On the way out of the woods walking out (1/2 mile or so) I dry heaved about 20 times being my nerves were going nuts!!!!!!!!!! I knew he was big and I figured I got him. I was way excited!!!

It was by far my most memorable and favorite hunt of my life!

I got tired of the blowhards trying to diminish my hunting......by attempting to describe the way I hunt as hunting in a park (which....anyone who's ever been here knows is far from the truth).

It's my way of having fun at their expense. I sorta like it. I only wish we'd been able to incorporate the see-saw I have a ground blind under.

LMFAO!!!

Dude, you crack me up.

Your biggest deer is a freakin pig, heck they all are. Sweet pic.

Mine is rather simple, Ive never shot a round of 3d in my life, and I love bowfishing. For those that cant read it, it says "3D is for archers who dont own a boat!" lol

Mine is from my first "Up" 3D round in which I won. I need to change it, I might do that soon.

And Jeff's land he hunts is FAR from a playground. He's definately "blessed" with great places to hunt. I mean that too, the bucks might not be as big, but there's a lot of deer.

RE: Tell the story of your avatar.

I bought the home I live at now a little over three years ago, which meant new mountains to learn and hunt whitetails in. ;)When I bought it the guy I bought it from gave me a shed off of what I figured was a 2.5 year old 4x4. He said he had found it the spring prior to my purchase, making the buck a 3.5 year old when I moved in during Feb. I immediately started shed hunting the surrounding area and it wasnt a few weeks before I had found what looked like the exact bucks set of sheds, same configuration, flattened browtines, dark chocholate antlers, it was his 3.5 year old set. I was prettty stoked to have 3 sheds from this buck. So I set up and filmed the area in the summer and shot film of what I was sure was the nice big bodied 4.5 year old 4x4. I hunted his area all season and finally in December I killed him in a foot of snowabout 200 yards to the east and 400 yards to the south of where the three sheds were found. 2005 kill.

Pretty simple, Mr. Big came walking in one evening, freshened a couple of scrapes and got too close. Since he was nice enough to afford me the opportunity, I plugged a BH through his heart!!!!
