My first deer killed with a bow. I shot this doe from the ground at about 5 yards. I had my back to an oak tree sitting in the shade at the edge of a pasture. She walked up with the sun in her face and started eating acorns. Other than the combination of her facing the sun and me sitting in the shade I had no cover. She did put her head up when I drew but it was much too late for her to do anything else. She fell in sight. I have since killed 3 bucks with my bow but she remains my greatest trophy.

Its a picture of the only other female that my wife allows in the bedroom;) She was found with a litter of 5 in a Salvation Army Deposit Box and we adopted her. I am hoping to get her out bird hunting this year with my other rescue dog.
