How big?
What size animal are you holding out for this season? A P&Y buck? B&C? Any buck that presents a chance?
I am hunting some new ground this year, as well as my usual stomping grounds. After seeing some sheds and sign on the new place, I'd like to say its going to be B&C or bust, but I know the odds. So its probably going to take an 8pt or better, outside the ears for me to shoot. What about you? |
RE: How big?
I've never broken 100" with the 3 bucks I've killed with a bow. I will hope for more but I'll shoot 100".

RE: How big?
Ideally yes, in Pa I'm going to hold for a P&Y, but if it's a tad under I'll still be content. However, when I hunt Alberta, it's min P&Y or it doesn't get killed. If you kill a buck under that, it cost's you $300.QDM if you will.;):D:D

RE: How big?
I'd be holding out too if I was you after seeing them sheds you found!:D
As for myself 130" and no less. I'll eat my tag before I shoot one smaller then that. I've got pics of a 150" buck from last year on my camera but I'm not sure if he made it through the winter or not. Time will tell when I get the camera up or If I happen to see him before that. If he is around I'll most likely try and hold out for him for a while being he should be in that 170" range this year. We'll see I guess. |
RE: How big?
I’m going to wait for a world class half rack

RE: How big?
ORIGINAL: rybohunter I’m going to wait for a world class half rack Actually I am always looking for an animal that will scoreP&Y minimum regardlessof species. It doesn't always happen, but it is usually a fairly attainable goal. It gives me something to shoot for!;) Dan |

RE: How big?
Anything that will put me near the top of the local buck pool.110" should get me there.
Standards will increase/decrease with the amount of hunting time that I can come up with. Right now, it's not looking good. If I can hit the 120 hour mark, I'll be lucky. |
RE: How big?
I will more then likely look for a nice 2.5 year old or older.
