RE: Ok, enough hear- say....

Jeff I wanted to know the real truth about mech heads, it was not an attempt to criticize any one's choice of BH, I wanted to know if there were really issues with these BH and how they work. I still did not get my answer. so I will ask again, has anyone had a mech BH fail to open on a deer, elk, giraffe, etc....???

I am sorry your thread turned into that[:'(].

I have never witnessed a mech BH fail to open....and no one I directly know has either (A few other failures have taken place). So...thats probably 20+ mech head deer kills and no failure to open.

I can't wait to see if you're as funny, in person!;)

Better yet....you can just call me that when I see ya.;)
Are those personal threats Jeff?
It wouldn't be the first ones;)

Can anyone overlay the anatomy pic over the Deer Deer pic? Just kind of curious. Looks a tad off to me.

Dan
Are there any open tickets to this show in 09:D?

I didn't shoot the arrow but was sitting next to the guy that did and I cut it out.

NAP shockwave 100gr. Shot out the window of a Double Bull Blind, not through the mesh. Antelope buck 27 yards, hit high and ended up witha spine shot. Buck dropped in his tracks but had to shoot him again in the chest. Dissected out the arrow in the back and the broadhead was completely closed and buried in the vertebrae with the blades in the closed position. Complete malfunction, I'm not even sure how that happened. Broadhead penetrated the bone with the blades in the closed position.

I saved the bone with the head embedded and sent NAP a letter to see if they wanted it and never heard from them.

100% my MX-3's will be open on impact. But, thought about maybe trying a rage 2 blade.

I've stated in this forum, more than once, that I did the "autopsy" on this animal.
Ummm, I think it only be proper to put in a disclaimer on your qualifications..........:D:D:D[8D][8D][8D]

What I can't believe is that people are surprised that a mechanical bh post turned into an argument, especially with Jeff and Dan involved.[&:] No offense fellas, but you're both usually in the eye of the storm.

Mez, what was entrance wound? Were there blade marks or no? I've heard of jack knife style heads swinging closed when stopped abruptly (like when hitting bone). I wonder if this may be what happened on that shot. If not, that is amazing that those blades could stay closed even passing into bone.
