I kinda like birds and bird feeding etc... Well for those of us with dogs (and cats[:'(]) when they start to shed their winter coat in the spring, when you brush them, dont just throw all that dead hair away. Put the globs of hair into an empty suet feeder and many birds (especially chickadees) will thank you as they use this soft hair to line their nests, and once they find it they will beg you to brush your dog again.

Turkey vultures often gorge themselves so full that they cannot lift their bodies off the ground to escape an approaching predator. They often vomit in the face of the attacker; this serves two purposes: One, it deters the attacker, obviously -- but it also lightens their lift-off load and allows them to get in the air.
Interesting info there Greg!! I had no idea.
I agree Steve, that's interesting as hell. I like neat facts like that. I love to learn/read.I'll come up with something cool, give me a little time. Oh yea, great thread King!

Did you know that ants make up 15-20% of the weight of all living things on the earth, and that they outweigh humans.

Lobsters
When a female lobster molts or sheds their shells they line up to take turns mating the most dominate male lobster in the neighborhood . the other guys are shut out

When a male lobster fights, they pee out through their faces

A lobster left in the wild can live to be 100 years old

Human sweat is an excellent wasp-repellant.
Well this is NOT true for Yellow Jackets. I was sweatin my butt off mowing the grass one day as I unknowingly ran over a nest which resulted in about 15 stings.

My tidbit for the thread:

Bats are NOT blind. Also, they are the only flying mammal.

Actually, 100% of the world's monkey population is made up of monkeys!

Nope, sorry, it's actually just a little over 80%. I watched it on a wildlife program.
Let's slow down and think about this one... You may MEAN to write something else -- but I ASSURE you that 100% of the world's monkey population is comprisedof actual monkeys!

Just like 100% of any population is comprised by members of that population... name any one you want.
