RE: Muzzy Phantom Broadheads

I used them once last year and cost me a very nice buck. I trashed the rest of them. The blades are weak for being a muzzy product. Sure they fly nice but theres no strenth to them at all. If you want to use muzzys stick with the MX-4's they are a tough little bugger and have not cost me a deer yet!

Fred sent me some a few years back to try out and I have had no problems with them. The bleeder blade is not hard to get out. You just need to know the correct way to do it. I had the same problem until I figured it out. They fly great and cut a nice hole.

Disclaimer, I am a traditional archer/bowhunter and know nothing.

I have used them in the past and they are a very good head. I still have some 220 grain heads around. I tended to like the Stinger a bit better though. Reason being that the bleeders are a bit smaller on the stingers. Both heads are extremely sharp out of the package though.

Thanks for all the input guys. I will still be trying these out this Fall. I see no reason why they will not work efficiently.

Ha Ha, Bob, you crack me up sometimes. Your modesty about your knowledge lets me know you are not a "3 season know-it-all".[:-]

Very nice head, big suckers. They fly real well out of my bow with no tinkering, grouped right with my Slick Tricks and do some real damage on squirrels. So far, that's my only live-animal test.
