Default meanv string suppresor

Ok I have a meanv but I am unsure if the string should be touching the meanv at rest or if it should have a surtain gap between the string and the meanv

My MeanV2CSS just barely touches my string. This is where it is most quiet.

I use one also.I set it up originally just barely touching the string but had problems with string forceing its way down the side of rubber stop.I originally thought it was not centered causing this problem but it was centered.I backed it off 1/16" and know it works perfect.Im sure allbows are different though.

It all depends on the bow!! I have had some that like the rubber just BARELY touching the string and others that preferred about a credit card size space between the string and the stopper. Regardless, when set up properly it doesn't get any better than Dan's CSS!

I'm currently shopping for a string stop for my new Guardian (well, at least new to me). I know the MeanV is cut to an exact length per what you ask for, but is there any length adjustability to it at all?

Western yes there is a good bit of adjustment to the meanv I would reccommend it over the sts anyday sense I have had both.
