At first glance, I put him at 3.5, however..I believe you guys may be correct, 2.5 looks do-able.

Im judging him by what my deer look like here, at this time of year. AND, most have lost alot of fat...
x2, but motown thats how i judged him too

Rory, one thing I did notice..His face isnt mature. His jaw line seems to be young. His cap is narrow and his facehas thatelongated look. I agree that he may, in fact, be 2.5yo. No shooter.

p.s. - also judging age based on ONE photo is tough. Position, lighting, reference objects/points...That can make it hard....No big deal, really. Its just age.....I do believe I was wrong.
youre right on that one, no after i look at him more, im thinking 2.5 also

I think he is 2.5. Couple years, and let him have it!

Judging from this being a Kentucky deer I'm going to say a 2.5 yr old deer. If you look at the picture his main beams are getting ready to curl around. I doubt he gets much wider. 2 more years and this deer will be a stud.

Im with you guys making the 2 year old guess. I wanted to get everyone's opinion's before I made my own assumption. We had a phenominal crop of 1.5 year old last fall, including a 10 point that will be a giant if he gets a couple more birthdays. I will keep you guys updated on his progress the next couple months.

Good point. You get so used to saying 1.5, 4.5 etc during the season....
