Well today I wen't up and check my trail camera and there was a BIG cow elk on it in the day so then I decided I was going to go to the top of the mountain cause i hadn't been there in a week or two so I headed up the hill and then as soon as I got to the to I had a bottle of cover scent with me so I sprayed myself with it and then slowly walked the ridge and then I looked back and I saw a ear twitch about 80 yards behind me and I look at it and it was a deer so then I wanted to see how close I could get to it and then I heard some think over the other side of the hill and it sounded like a elk so I wen't over there to see what it was. Then I hid up against a tree and tried to see the animal and it couldn't have been 40 yards down the hill there was a really big cow elk just eating on some grass and working its way up the hill so I saw the direction it was headed so I got up to kinda where it was headed and sure enough it came at about 25 yards away still not knowing I am there and pretty soon it walks up over the trail I had just came from and you would have thought it would have picked up my scent there but it didn't and then pretty soon I hear this other elk making there little chirping sound and the deer that I had saw ended up being a baby elk so that was pretty neat and it ran up to its mom but anyways I just thought i'd tell anyone that wanted to know how good cover scent works... It sure did work good for me!
here is a picture of the elk when it was at 28 yards
