Yea early season is tough. You generally stink up the area more than anything else. I love to hunt water in the early season. If you're going to get a buck moving early, he will be going to WATER !

The downside is skeeeeeeeeeeters !! I WILL NOT use thermacell, so I am usually heavily engaged by skeeter air power, while in stand during September.

Early...For public land, though...Early season is the TIME to be in stand. No pressure...

Thisis all true DT, but I CAN'T STAND sweating while I'm hunting. Not to mention, like you said, stinking up the area, especially on the walk in. That incoming assault you speak of is a real bitch!!![:@][:'(][:'(][>:][>:]

Droptine249 question why wont you use a thermacell?
greatest thing ever for early season hunts.
Unless swatting at the sqeeters keeps you busy in the stand[8D]

it does emit a odor but never bothered deer for sure and im sure others will vouch for that and shoot shell out cash ,when is your b day ill get you one .
