Yea early season is tough. You generally stink up the area more than anything else. I love to hunt water in the early season. If you're going to get a buck moving early, he will be going to WATER !
The downside is skeeeeeeeeeeters !! I WILL NOT use thermacell, so I am usually heavily engaged by skeeter air power, while in stand during September.
Early...For public land, though...Early season is the TIME to be in stand. No pressure...
We have 100 days until archery season opens. I won't hunt too much during early season this year. Heat and bugs seem to bother this old man. Plus it's a pain in the arse trying to keep meat good until it gets to the butcher![:@]

it does emit a odor but never bothered deer for sure and im sure others will vouch for that and shoot shell out cash ,when is your b day ill get you one .
