I voted "other"
.When I get a new bow,I make a new string for it.About a month before bow season opens,I put new strings on the bowsI plan to hunt with and use the old one as a back-up

I change mine about every 2 years but to be honest,I could go 3-4 most likely.I use low poundage and really don't shoot that much anymore and I have HIGH quality rigging on my bows.
When I was competing, they got restrung every year.

I'm also looking to get those factory strings off of there as soon as possible. Once I get a bow all tuned and dialed in, I don't want to have to start twisting strings and cables every few hundred shots and then tweak it all over again. That's why I like the BCY452X strings that Bucknasty makes up. 20 shots or so and that's it for stretching.

With the quality that strings are today and the fact that I spread my shooting around to a couple of different bows. 2 years usually catches me.
I always have a backup set around though
