RE: I like my Whisker Biscuit
I too was very skeptable of the wb when they first came out.I had swicthed to a drop away and my groups really tightened up,but there was always the problem of the arrow not staying on the rest which I really had to watch in a hunting situation, and the more I read and talked to others who have tried the wb I decided when I bought my new bow last year I had a wb put on it and I love it and have no problems with vanes coming off.Now i really did love my drop away and one day I might buy a newer model that offers full containment but for now I stickinh with the wb,it's just so darn worry free just get it set right and shoot no moving parts to fail and as far as freezing rain I don't have much too worry too much about that or arrow speed because I'm shooting 272fps with my hunting setup.

RE: I like my Whisker Biscuit
ORIGINAL: RidgeFACTOR ![]() I happen to like my WHISKER BISCUIT that I have mounted on my MATHEWS Switchback XT. I haven't had any problems with the biscuit what-so-ever, nor has it messed any of my fletches up on my arrows. If you are shootingwith a Whisker Biscuit rest let me remind you of something, you should be using 2" Vanes on ALL your arrows. The 2" vanes are more durable than the longer ones, therefore they hold up and wont warp or get distorted. Another good thing about the Whisker Biscuit rest is that you can hold your bow upside down, drop it, knock it up against a tree and the arrow will stay in place and NOT fall out like other rests. My groups (20-40 yds.) are basically the same everytime as well. Very good rest and I'm impressed. |
RE: I like my Whisker Biscuit
Shot one for years and loved the thing. My son still shoots one and has no problems at all. I still dont see why people are having fletch tear issues, i never did.

I wouldn't have any other sight then a WB. I have not had any problems.

RE: Are you FOR or AGAINST Whisker Biscuits?
I had the same debate, and went with the Diamond Hostage rest. It has bristles at 6:00, 9:00. and 2:00. No matter what I shoot the vanes (fletching) never touch the bristles, other than riding on the bristeles at 6:00.
There is absolutely no interference with arrow flight. |
RE: Are you FOR or AGAINST Whisker Biscuits?
Totally against because when the vains on the arrow hit the bristles of the biscuit there is too much interference and friction which would then throw the shot off a little bit. So therefor they make yout shot less acurate.

RE: Are you FOR or AGAINST Whisker Biscuits?
Yes Rory i actually have used one before and my findings were conclusive on the fact that it threw off my shot due to interference with the vains.
