RE: Are you FOR or AGAINST Whisker Biscuits?
I have many fall away rests and I still prefer my WB.I have shot through my chrony with biscuit and with fall away using blazer vanes and I have never seen over a 4 fps drop in speed. My grouping is better with the fall aways but grouping with the WB is still tight enough for any game kill zone.As early in mentioned use the no snow spray once a season and you will have no problems.

ORIGINAL: RobinAim Low ORIGINAL: TexasBowHunter Never shot one and did not like the idea when they first come out....Too much drag on your arrow for me!!!! If I were looking to go with a arrow containing style restI would go with bodoodle...I'm not against them per say but I won't ever shoot one... |
RE: Are you FOR or AGAINST Whisker Biscuits?
I used to use a WB---my old aluminums shot great out of that thing....very tight groups. I stopped using the WB because it is WAY too loud to use around the skittish deer I hunt.

I refuse to participate in a WB thread without Atlasman. This thread should be locked!:D

RE: Are you FOR or AGAINST Whisker Biscuits?
Sorry no WB here. I used one a few times and didn't like the fletch contact. I have seen them on more than one occasion make a mess of plastic vanes. With full containment drop away rests out there I am not sure why you would want to use a whisker biscuit. I would rather use a Prong rest over the whisker biscuit.

RE: Are you FOR or AGAINST Whisker Biscuits?
I have used them for many years now without fail. I have never had a single vane warp or tear off and my arrows are very quiet in this rest. There are no moving parts to fail and no strings, springs, etc. to break or malfunction. I love the simplicity of the rest. I believe that in archery hunting it is important to keep it simple. I have used them on several different bows and had good results with all. In my opinion, if you cant get this rest to group extremely tight there is definitely something wrong with your set-up or form. To each his own, but I will stick with what works for me.

RE: Are you FOR or AGAINST Whisker Biscuits?
I would have defended the WB, I had one on my Tomkat.....but since yesterday I shot a QAD ultra on my new82nd..
And there is a difference, I upped my average scores with 9 to 10 points on the first day. Could be the bow, could be the rest, isn't the shooter. What I can tell you is that there is NOTHING wrong with a Whacky Basket. I still like it, but I like the QAD rest better F. |
