For the love of...

I've been having an amusing debate with a fellow bow hunter over on a local SC talk fourm over the "innovations" that Mathews and Hoyt have brought to archery. He can not seem to get it through his thick Hoyt shooting head that most of the "innovations" produced by Mathews were used years before Mathews had anything to do with it. Its like another guy on the forum said..."mathews marketing made other bow companies' innovations popular".

I am so tired of hearing all the Mathews shooters talk about Mathews' "innovations". Hear some say it they invented the compound bow. It would be different if it were true, but its not. Martin and other companies came out with most of the things that Mathews got the credit for.

For the love of God!!!!! Please do your homework!!!!

Why do people always hammer the guys on top?

On top? OMG here it goes again. Show me numbers that prove that "they" hold more market share than anyone. Please show me the market share numbers. I asked the other guy to show me the numbers also. All he could say is "i have big name friends in the industry and thats what they say".

who freaking cares, getting over fights about who makes the "best" bows, and "best" broadheads is stupid anyway. i cant believe some people treat bow companie rivalries like they do the yankees-red sox rivalry.
pretty immature to argue about things like this imo
sorry just had to vent

I do not have numbers to share. I just know which bow goes to the stand with me.

So just another fan boy blowing hot hair. No numbers to prove that they are "on top".

Roy, its not that I care for arguments sake. I just like the facts to be known. Not distored.

No facts needed I just know which bow goes to the stand with me. Carry on blowing hot air if you feel like you have something to prove.

I hear ya Rory. This stuff all gets so old. But I guess if it weren't for boneheads arguing over this stuff all the time the guy who created the sticker with the kid pissing on bows, trucks and everything else wouldn't have ever made his millions.
Bottom Line-----Shoot whatever bow you can shoot the best.

Can you tell from my comments which bow I carry to the stand with me? I never mentioned a Brand. The comment was addressed as the GUYS on top.

Happens all the time! Where would these big compound companies be today if it weren't for Martin, Bear, PSE, Hoyt, Pearson, all of the old bow company's? They wouldn't be!! The big shots like to make themselves look good and take all the credit for something they didn't start with. It happens all the time weather its in the archery business or in life itself. Its sad but people gloat over it.

AR Bowhunter 06-01-2008 01:34 PM

RE: For the love of...

I do not know about Martin butBear, PSE an Ben Pearson really got the ball rolling many years ago.

StrutNtom 06-01-2008 01:41 PM

RE: For the love of...

Actually Martin is the company that Mathews can thank for the dampeners in the riser.

Wow sounds like someone has their panties in a wad, dang you need to just take a deep breath, find your woman and ask for some good lovin. Toget in a argument over this isstupid IMO.Hoyt makes one hell of a bow so does Mathews and most of the bow companies out there on the market today. Let me ask you this if Mathews or (fill in the blank)came to you andasked you to shoot/hunt withthier bowfor 5 years and eachyear you would get a new bowthat was yours todo with asyou choose afterusing itforone full year would younot doit, or would you accepttheir offer?

P.S.My Mathewshas killed more elk than yourwatchamalcalit bow. :):D

StrutNtom 06-01-2008 01:45 PM

RE: For the love of...

Actually I would much rather borrow your woman for a little while. I'm in much need of a fresh cup of...

Thanks for making another point though. Hence why Mathews basically owns the hunting shows on tv.
