Killing/seeing deer in the middle of the day...

That was nothing more than a joke my friend.
By the way, it's not hard to beat that avatar buck antler wise, but weight wise you'd be hard pressed to beat 300lbs, which he was.

I don't even want to get on the second part that was left out, hahaha. I do not shoot the first one that I see. I have a spot that has a lot of deer like the one in your avatar and bigger so we shoot nothing under a solid 8 point 3.5 year old or older there. I have invited another forum user to hunt the spot with me this year, I'll have some great photos posted as the season gets closer. Oh, and I'll watch the F-Bombs to

4 or 5 years ago I left the woods at around 10:30. I drove to town to get some supplies. On the way there a doe ran across the road followed by 3 bucks. All three were shooters. This was around 11 AM.

No, that was live weight. I killed him in the Edmonton Bow Zone, Alberta. And you're right , he's a small buck for that region. I had to start somewhere.
Last year I let 2 go his size. I'm after a BIG buck from now on.

I'm finally using a couple of trail cams this year to see if I can pattern a specific deer, I have jumped him several times in the last two seasons between 12-2PM when I am heading out for an afternoon hunt but never seen him when I sit on stand late while doing morning hunts.

I was surprised to see a staffer use implied profanity in a post until I saw your signature line. Now I am just disappointed.
Call me a prude or a hypocrite or whatever but there is a time and place for everything and a public forum read by young people along with women is not the correct venue. JMO

Carry on. Let's get back to what the site was made for.. and thats hunting. If you wish to judge others or to complain about the PC correct world we have a forum for that here at HNI. And I offer to you both to type away needlessly there.
I apologize again.

I killed my NE Mule Deer last Dec at 2PM. Rut was still on as I saw a lot of rutting activity during the few days I was there.
If I go hunting, that's what I do. I can't kill one sitting on the couch

I don't think I've ever hunted all day long, but I have waited to go hunting until 10am and hunting the midday hours, sometimes it just depends on if I'm seeing deer early or not,if the deer arn't moving early I will get to my stand later in the day.I have yet to have any luck during the mid day but have seen deer.
