Venison or Tag soup
 

All this talk about venison has got me thinking ......

Let's say the herd got in a bad way and the situation was such that you either had to eat tag soup (not have ANY type of venison) for a year, or shoot a small buck, what would you do??? Please don't add your own spin on things like, "I would move" or anything like that ......simple question ... curious as to your thoughts....

I don't eat antlers. I would go for the venison (in whatever form).

That's an easy one there Tony.......I'm shooting. Then again.......I don't need those circumstances to make my decision either.;)

Tag soup for me.:)I haven't killed a buck with my bow since 02 and I'm still holding out.[:o]

My herd doesn't even have a problem and I make this decision every year.

I've yet to find a recipe of any kind for tag or antler soup...;)

Unless I'm paying high dollar for a hunt ( which won't happen in this lifetime)I'll fill a tag before I try to get my name in any books...

I would eat tag soup. I dont rely on vennison and dont have a family to feed so i could go a year without it. Plusi have plenty of people who would hook me up with some vennison if i needed some.

Me as well Recurver! I've had tag soup many times, 4 years straight was my worst stretch. Never will I shoot a small buck unless he's older and isn't showing any signs of potential.

As you asked Venison in my freezer, because I am a deer hunter any deer will do, especially when there is hunting pressure.
I'd love to add more but you asked us not too!:D
