I live in the county with the lowest deer population in the state with the lowest deer population. There is no place that is worse for deer hunting in the entire United States. There's no such thing as quality deer managment in a palmetto swamp. I just hunted from September through January and I didn't even see a deer.I'm shooting if I see a legal buck.

Anyone want to do a swap hunt for armadillos?

I live in thestate but I live in Polk County (which is in central FL) which has a desent deer pop. Most of the deer in FL are up north and they get pretty big up there but not down here, I mean every now and then you will see were someone shot a 150" deer but not often maybe, MAYBE once a year. But most people have a "if its legal its down" mentallityand thats me too so Im fillin' the freezer.

I'm with ya there, John .......

I respect the guys who will just go years without taking one .... to each his own...

But I LOVE venison and as prices for everything go up, it's getting to the point where there is a tangible value in filling my freezer to help support my habit ..... I will start getting picky when there are 4 deer in the freezer ;)

If I have a legal tag, I'm filling it! Like someone said you can't eat antlers! I'm eating! I don't rely on venison but love to eat it, and eat a lot of it every year! :)

I wouldnt shoot it. A doe? In a minute. I can take an unfilled tag or two because I know I will have ML & antlerless hunts later in the year after bowhunting. No problem with those who would tho.
