I have been using the pain in the butt to me rachet style straps for years. I just bought the cam style straps are these
safe for tree stand hunting? I bought them because what seems ease of use.

Thanks,

ah come on tony, don't ya just love ratchets when just dont quite get enough slack pulled through ..you crank it down and your one ratchet or two away and it balls up and wont tighten any more.. then ya get to start over! LMAO

I have the ratchets, lots of them and dont mind them but my cam buckle strap on my Nontypical stand is the cats meow..

IMO, the only safe strap is the one that comes with the stand andnone needed past that if hung right.

If your talking about the cams that have the floating knurled rod in them, i think its ok but if your refering to the spring loaded push button cams then there is no way i would do that. make sure, we dont want to loose our bartender :D

It always seems to happen to me that I leave a few stands up a little longer than I'd like, and when I go to retrieve them, ratchet straps seem easier to remove than the knurled rod type cam straps. Maybe it's just me though...

Peak those are the push button type. I would not trust them for a stand. My brother in law was hauling home a brand new big screen tv held in place with that kind. He rounded the first cuve slowly and they let go..the Tv ended up on the ground [X(]JMO!!

Take them back. The hooks really suck, if anything get the straps that are endless(no hooks). I just use the straps that come with my Lone Wolf, cam style not the ratchet type, never had a problem!

Yep, I'd trust them for a pushmower, but not my life.
