If I have to kill a doe for the meat than I will be quite upset actually because that means that I didn't kill an elk.

I'm always looking for an opportunity to reduce the doe population on my leases. It has taken years to bring down the doe:buck ratio from about fifteen to one, but it is always high because of the adjacent hunters who will only shoot bucks. They don't realize what a disservice they are doing for the population as a whole.

I hope to whack one here in my PA Unit with my longbow, one with some sort of archery equipment in Rick James' PA unit, and another in IL hunting with Greg.
That should get me through the season for venison goodies.

I am actually setting a blind this weekend JUST for hopefully taking a doe with my longbow on the season opener.
