I graduated from Murray State University with at Bachelor of Science and was wanting to get into KDFW, that was until I learned what they made. That's why I'm running trains now for more than double the pay.

There are state and fed jobs in the outdoors, and no... they don't pay a lot. You get vacations and bennies and once you're in it's almost impossible to get fired. Depends on what you're looking for. It's a competitive business. Not a lot of slots and all that. Most require a college degree of some sort and still don't pay you much, especially starting out. Many .... MANY years ago when I sold my first business I thought I'd like to be a game warden. I was one of 700 that took the test at that time in Georgia for a handful of slots. I got accepted and was offered a job. Problem was, they wanted me to move even though there was a slot open where I lived. They wanted me to move to Savanah where I was told we helped with drug interdiction running etc. Well hell, I'd just survived 2 years in Vietnam not too many years earlier. I really didn't feel like taking up dodging bullets again. At the time they started you at $14,000. That was 1981.
